I started illustrating professionally just after graduating from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. After 10 years of working on site as a fashion illustrator, I transitioned into greeting card, then magazine illustration. Children’s book clients were then added, and I was forever hooked.
Rather than remaining with one style, I crave the variety and freshness of adapting my approach to the project’s tone. Each text seems to call out for its own unique look. This is both the challenge and the joy of it.
I never stray too far from watercolor, my first love. I work strictly traditionally.
